He was Hung on a Tree

Nero's cross, you mean the thing made up in the 50s and 60s to try to attack the counter-culture movement that wanted British nuclear disarmament? "Nero's cross" is allegorical at best and has no known extant examples.

The closest thing in reality is St Peter's Cross which is just an upside down cross, that is not the same symbol.

I'm starting to think people here use Chick tracts as sources of their knowledge of the world.
Hey...I love Chick tracts!

But I tend to agree with you that similarities in design don’t necessarily lend credence to similarity in purpose or origin.

If you’ve never been exposed to Christianity, and you’ve only read the scripture where it says that the Savior of the world was hung on a tree. Both of his hands had nails on them. And he carried a wooden stake. Which then appears closer to the truth:

I would pick the symbol that appears to be representing the “Tree of Life” as the one that’s more biblically accurate. And if Peter was killed using the same exact method - except it was upside down - you can then see how the world’s “peace symbol” and “Nero’s cross” are the same exact symbols. This happened 2000 years ago - you’re not going to find images, manuscripts, or videos.

Why does this matter?

Oh! I was about to give you a like and then you attacked my childhood!

One more thing I want to add - below is the name of the Father in Heaven in Hebrew and Paleo Hebrew. Look at the “Nail” symbol:
IMG_2024.jpeg
His hands were nailed on a tree - and left there to hang. But because of some righteousness of the Pharisees - he wasn’t left there to hang:

Deut 21:23
You must not leave the body on the tree overnight, but you must be sure to bury him that day, because anyone who is hung on a tree is under God’s curse. You must not defile the land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.

Uhhhhh, where are they getting "behold nail behold hand"... that's just 4 letters: Yod He Vov He. It’s not a literal or scholarly translation of the Tetragrammaton...

It's Paleo Hebrew:

The prophesied 3rd temple - when Messiah returns as King (Luke 1:33) over all the Earth - the design that Ezekiel depicts is the "Behold" symbol:

Ezekiel 48:35
The distance around the entire city will be 6 miles. And from that day the name of the city will be ‘The LORD Is There.’”

The interpretation of this as "behold nail, nehold hand" is made up of nonsense from the Messianic/Hebrew Roots movement (which started in the 1930s as an offshoot of Seventh-day Adventism) and is not linguistically accurate Hebrew and not supported by mainstream Hebrew scholarship.

kāp is ' palm of hand' and looks like a backwards weird 'K' in paleo-Hebrew.
yōd can be interpreted as "arm" or "hand" and is a backward 'F'

This is what the tetragrammaton looks like in Paleo-Hebrew:

Edit:

Here it is in the Dead Sea Scrolls "The Tetragrammaton in Paleo Hebrew in the 11Q5 Dead Sea Scrolls Manuscript."

But, since this is in your signature... you should know that.

Just because someone makes a webpage and an image doesn't make it the truth. In this case, it looks like your purple and yellow image comes from a meme and has been shared on a few random blogs, a meme site, and some TikTok videos...

Here is one example of many. You will many see similar, but slightly different, examples in renderings such as the ISR and Besora Bibles that attempt to preserve the 'original Name.' The symbols morphed some over time, and eventually were replaced (as in English) by the most "modern" version, that is very different in the case of Hebrew characters. Just look up "sans serif," for an easy comparison.

Get a good chart of the variations over time, or talk to a translator on the Dead Sea Scrolls. I can name at least one I know, but won't list, because evidently there is such a thing as "Nehemiah Derangement Syndrome," too. 🤔
