Welcome both of you! Your story of your initial conversations, and attitude today, brought back many memories for me as I can see many similarities to our own journey.

Indeed, you have discovered one of the best parts of learning this truth. My wife and I have had virtually the same experience as you have described here: many interesting and instructive conversations that have led us to new levels of closeness.
The rest of the what happens is equally hard to predict. In the many years that we have been supporters we have not found anyone to join our family. But we have met many interesting people, many who have become dear friends, and at least we are better equipped if that situation ever does present itself.

I'm very happy that the two of you are here, Scoop and Jessie. What a blessing for you that you can start out seeing the same truths. Thank you especially for sharing so much of your story right away. I look forward to meeting you at your first retreat -- hopefully this summer, if we're all allowed to engage in inter-state travel by that stage of the Wuhan Virus dilemma!
