For myself - Fox News is completely unwatchable. I stopped watching it since 2020. Here's just an example of their lies:



They settled out of court. This just tells you that they were spreading lies without any true evidence. "Oh, it's China." Oh, it's Russia." Oh, it's dominion." All for entertainment and maximizing profits. They know their audience, and they feed them exactly what their itching ears want to hear. Like the church does with things like adultery. Feeding them lies that their itching ears want to hear - versus opening up a can of worms for themselves by feeding them the flesh of Messiah. Opening up a can of worms isn't good for the bottom line:

Tariffs are I would say so-so. You are looking at tariffs from domestic perspectives. Sadly, tariffs are one of good way to hurt other state when they ...misbehave...by being OK with exporting dangerous drugs, criminals and financing commies in/to USA.

Also, tariffs are most famous type of trade barrier. Recently EU and Mercosur have signed free trade agreement where trade barrier tariffs are replaced with trade barrier qoutas. And thanks to some stupid libertarians this is called victory.

You have to understand. Tariffs are visible, other trade barriers aren't, therefore other more protectionist state like to use them to favour themselves in trade with USA. China and currency manipulation, perhaps?

I think Trump tried to use tariffs to remove non-tariff trade barriers and get others state do deal with "unruly" elements.

Also, during industrial revolution federal government live off tariffs, so naturally they are trying to recreate golden age by copying tax system then.
