Monogamy only from the creation story is a clear case of confirmation bias. It was not understand as such by the Jews or even the guy that wrote it.

From the text, the clear pattern that you are supposed to learn is patriarchy which is confirmed in the NT in Romans 5:12 and 1 Cor 15:21. Both monogamy and polygyny are compatible with patriarchy which is why both are referred to in the Bible simply as "marriage" and not differentiated as if polygamy were something different.
