Something new and exciting at Biblical Families! - when was the last time you heard that? We’ve been doing retreats for 19 years, and running the forum just as long. Some other things have come and gone over the years, but these are our 2 constants. Retreats are great for meeting other plural-accepting families, fellowshipping, and learning from each other. But travel is tough, and most people are lucky if they can get to one event a year, given our limited schedule - and that doesn’t build lasting community. For nearly all these years, we’ve had the desire to see local fellowships established. Sometimes we’ve had groups that met in an area for a while, and then usually faded as people moved or distance was too great. Biblical Families has never had the time, the ability, and the funding to actually make it happen. That is changing now.
We are happy to announce the launch of a new ministry partner for Biblical Families: I:4-1 Mission. I:4-1 is led by Jacob Foulk, author of Exposing the Spirit of Ashtoreth, Biblical Families board member, and speaker at recent retreats. Jacob has the motivation, the vision that God has laid on his heart, and with the team that is being put together, and your help, we believe God is saying the time is now to plant and support patriarchal, Bible-teaching, family-focused, local fellowships. Not just a few, but as He raises up local leaders and giving partners, dozens around the US, and eventually overseas. We know this won’t come easy, and it’ll take real effort and funding - and will face opposition as visibility rises. We’d ask you to be praying for this, consider partnering with us, and come find out more at an event near you over the coming months. You probably have a lot of questions, and these events will be the place to meet Jacob, and learn specifics on how we intend to equip and support local fellowships. You don't have to be, and even feel called to be, in a plural family to be a part - but every Christ-follower should desire to participate in a fellowship that rejects the feminism that has become prevalent in the organized church - and we are unapologetic in our belief that Biblical patriarchy includes those that practice Biblical polygyny - It's not about the number of wives, it's about how a man leads, and follows his own Head.
Here’s the schedule, and you can see we are hitting the ground running:

Those weekend events (Seattle, Dallas, Orlando) this year - are also Biblical Families retreats, with extra time for fellowship and relationship building.
If you’d like to receive info on any of these events, you can drop an email to i.41mission@gmail.com - the first 6 in August and September are coming up quick! Let us know which location you are interested in. (If you are interested in Orlando in December, you can also write retreats@biblicalfamilies.org with any question you have about logistics.)
We hope you will consider joining us at one of these events, consider partnering with us in giving to support this endeavor, and stay tuned for further announcements, here and in the BF newsletter, or at the I41mission.com website which is still in progress, expect more information there soon. A giving option is available there, and include more options soon.
If we are not near you at one of these events, go ahead and write the email about and let us know where you’d like to see us in the future. Obviously everyone will not be in weekly driving distance, yet - but perhaps you'll be within monthly reach, before too long.
We at Biblical Families are excited by this new opportunity, and hope to meet many of you soon. We'll do our best to answer any questions, you can reach Jacob thru the above email or website, or you can ask @nathan anything you'd like by DM'ing me here.
