Tis a sad ending to what could have been! We don't blame the one who stayed, in instances where no abuse occurred. The fault is clearly on the one who ran off. May God discipline her and bring her to the place where she belongs.

It flies in the face of traditional Christianity, but I believe Jesus was also married to fulfill all righteousness and set the perfect example.

I also believe that Jesus was married to more than one as it was common practice in those days that a woman did not follow a man around or come to him, unless she was married to him. Jesus as per record had at least three women we know of who constantly followed Him around, came to Him, and were as loyal as loyal can be. Their actions, according to the customs of that day absolutely speak of marriage. The parable of the 10 virgins itself speaks of how common that marriage custom was at the time. I find it sad that most of Christianity doesn’t fully understand Christ. There was never at any point anything dirty or impure about marriage as it is God‘s greatest gift and tender mercy to all of us. So why wouldn’t the Son of God be married? I strongly believe He was.

I am quite skeptical of the notion that Jesus was married at all, but I also could see why someone like Luke, if Jesus did have more than one wife, would not have wanted to report such a thing to Theo.

You are consistent with your LDS theology. There is no mention of wives and children attached to Jesus. So with the lack of info we can make up scripture(or not).

It isn't only Christology (and therefore Christianity), but the understanding of the nature of YAHWEH Himself that is totally different than that of Monotheism.

The King Follett discourse by the founder of the Mormon faith, Joseph Smith stated that God was not always God. He became God.

This means that what man is, God once was, and what God is, man may become.

There are also believed to be many other Gods of many other worlds. They all had beginnings.

In the Bible, God defines Himself.

He says "I AM".

He always was. He always will be. He is the absolute foundation of all reality. Nothing exists before Him, or apart from Him. He created all. Everyone who ever was or ever will be will bow to The "I AM", and He bows to no one.

The Mormon view of ultimate reality is therefore more consistent with they Mystical/Gnostic/Masonic/Kabbalah/New Age understanding .than it is with the Christian understanding of Reality.

Christians believe the ultimate Reality is I AM.
