@MemeFan, do you mind translating this for us?

My first wife DID leave with the children, told lies and 23 years later they are still not sure of dear ol dad. Yup my greatest fear was realized. awful.
Been there done that myself. I have a 45-year-old son from my first marriage who lives 35 miles from us now and who I honestly hope I never see again in my life.

I was at a pharmacy yesterday with a sick child, and found a box of expensive cloth face masks, originally $20 each, on sale for 50c each just to get rid of them. Bought a handful as toys for the children, and was very pleased to be able to honestly tell the pharmacist that this is the first time I have bought facemasks since the covid craze began.

But when I got home I noticed that every single one of them was labelled in one way or another "not for medical use".

Which is hilarious. Even the masks itself have always said they won't stop disease and are just about virtue-signalling as a good little sheep.

I use them when I do yard work, especially when I have to empty the grass bag. It may not keep the viruses out, but it sure helps breathe easier when all that dust from the dirt and grass clippings is flying around!

Well now, look what we have here!

I've watched that movie every year since childhood -- and talked about it during sharing time at the January 2020 Harrisburg BF gathering.

I have a novel long-in-process called Life's a Wonderful It which has a pro-life theme but also uses something similar to that soda fountain scene to ultimately initiate polygyny.

What a shame for either of those young women to have to forego connection with the young man each knew she wanted to be with.

Oh my.😜
As I’ve said before, one of the blessings of age is the ability to enjoy discovering things multiple times. 😁

As true in fiction as it is in reality, much of which stems from the feedback loop, where art imitates life, and then life imitates art. The fear is very real. As I sat down with the worship leader of this church we have been attending, I attempted to explain that there is a lot of fear surrounding what polygyny is often thought to be. I think he is afraid of me now. I later received a text message and an email, both saying that all future communication needs to go through the pastor's office. Yet on Sunday morning last week, he quoted the words of the chorus of the song "Because He Lives" which say that all fear is gone.

. . . and in that spirit, I ask: were you there?

;)
