Truth is the earth is YHWH's along with every thing and every one. So what is left for Ceasar except judgment for presuming to rule over YHWH's people?
That is why they marveled.....because He didn't just avoid their trap. HE CALLED THEM OUT! They KNEW the law....but went "with the flow" paying tribute to a heathen piece of $h!+!
What fellowship hath light with darkness??
If you go back in the scripture you can find a place where they were rebuilding the temple and some desired to cause them trouble. They wrote a letter to the king telling him that "if they succeed in building the wicked and rebellious city know that the king will have NO TRIBUTE from them.
Hmmmm.....
The reason that they had another kingdom ruling over them is because they were under God's punishment. They did not appoint a foreign King over themselves which
would have been a violation of God's law. As seen here --> Deu 17:15 Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee:
thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
So, if they rebelled against the punishment of God (the foreigner ruling over them), then they would be failing to obey God. As seen here -->
Lev 26:41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled,
and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
Lev 26:42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
Lev 26:43 The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them:
and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
So, I do not believe that the money being used by Caesar was fake or that Jesus was telling them to stick it up their butt as the commentator in the video espoused. I believe that the people wanted to be free from the bondage they were in and the Pharisees knew it. So, they thought to use the people against him. If he had stated that they were rightfully in bondage then the people might have risen up against him and rejected him as the Christ/Messiah/Savior. If he said that they should not pay the tribute, he would be going against the punishment established by God and against Caesar which may have caused him to legally be guilty of treason.
It was a trap to cause his downfall either way that the pharisees thought that he would answer. His answer was brilliant in it's honesty and avoidance of the trap.
As for the current God of this earth.... Let's talk about it.

And also the temptation of Christ.
Luk 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
Luk 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
Luk 4:7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
