• Biblical Families is not a dating website. It is a forum to discuss issues relating to marriage and the Bible, and to offer guidance and support, not to find a wife. Click here for more information.

I started to talk about the benefits once with a mono only couple and they quickly pointed out that "Satan offers benefits" ...and that is where I quit trying. But if I talked hardships they would claim that as evidence God isn't blessing it....

So, polygyny benefits are Satan's illusion, while any problems are Lord punishing you.

So good stuff comes from Satan, while bad from Lord? I would expect opposite from Christians.

And the fallacy is Special Pleading.

People with that mindset will selectively apply verses, use them when it suits them, discount it when it works for your position. There is no reasoning with them.

We've got some of this going on right now as a matter of fact.

Absolute brick wall reasoning with no listening occurring. She will deny verses we give her, then counter with out-of-context verses which clearly don't say what she's adding to them.

Strong delusion that they should believe a lie....that....believed not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I am more often thinking it fits.

That makes me wonder if this had any credibility to begin with, or if it's just an easy way to smear the rising conversational presence of Biblical marriage within pop culture.
Well, it’s on the internet, so we know that it has to be true.

AI voice takes away all credibility though.
Even regular history books dealing with Nazi regime will mention planning polygyny to restore German numbers after/during war. I do remember reading this during my teenage years (I could read nonstop WW2 books).

Maybe New York Times from 1946 is good enough proof:

Historian of Nazis mentioning open bigamist who doesn't get punished:

JSTOR* article mentioning bigamist from previous article and claiming SS supported children by mistresses:

Redditor qouting Himmler himself:

Redditor iz qouting book by Felix Kersten, Himmler's personal therapists. Book is on archive and has chapter "New Bigamy":

Well, Nazis were big on pronatalism*, so polygyny comes naturally. So course they were big on motherhood and "straight to kitchen" role for women.

*JSTOR is store of primary sources and academic articles/books

**To be precise, only on pronatalism of racially pure, for rest sterillization

By the way, I did watched videos about starting YouTube channels.

One advice, for those, less say, privacy minded, is to use Al-voice.

It's better to use your face and voice because it does produce better results, but some people are worried about openly presenting themselves.
YouTube is actively demonetizing and deleting channels that use AI voice and AI-generated content.

That's true, but if you use original content, you can protest and get your channel remonetized. They are actually using AI to decide which channels to demonetize, and as we know with AI, sometimes, it hallucinates.

I watched some Levi Roseman, and then decided to play chess against ChatGPT! Oh the fun!

It would be so much easier if believers would go past cognitive dissonance as they study the Scriptures.

I think we may have a forum in one of these churches that just might be willing to host a live debate.
