Husband and I were reading last night, as is our new custom, and came across another thing we had never been exposed. This seems to be the norm these days! It certainly appears to be the days of “revelation.”

It is quite possible that 1-2 Timothy and Titus were not written by Paul. We read through many of the thoughts out there by scholars. It was quite intriguing.

In our family we focus most on Torah, the prophets, and the writings, and the words of Jesus, and of course our relationship with God via Holy Spirit. Translations are often influenced by the translators. We keep discovering how often they have picked words that better match the times in which they lived while translating. This of course has led people astray by tradition of man and doctrines of demons. It has sure done a number on us.

As a result, we have become more devout in our studies to search out original words, author’s intent for meaning, and historical context and customs of the day. It has certainly helped us to reach better understanding than we once did.

Lately we have been reading several books about polygyny. We want to make sure we understand accurately what the Bible says about it in original language. We have been looking at lexicons, dictionaries, historical references, and strongs to search these matters out. It is crazy how much distortion there is in translation! Knowing what words actually meant when the author used them matters a lot.

What we appreciate is how once we know the actual definition of the word the Holy Spirit seems to sweep in and connect dots and reveal patterns that just mere moments prior we could not see! It’s fun and amazing as it seems daily we are being more set free by truth! 🙌

This is the fun of Journeying with Gods spirit! It is eye opening for sure!

If Lord Himself decides to do some teaching in local school, I assume you would rather stay home with your Bible? Bible is better than Lord, is neccesary implication of your post.
Since we have biblical assurance Jesus isn't going to be teaching in a local school at the Second Coming, I have no fear of missing out. However, by advocating for the abandonment of the written Word you are already missing out on learning more. You constantly exalt your logic and experience over the Word of God - which God Himself says He has magnified above all His name - thereby claiming authority equal to or over God Himself.

Someone else made that claim; "I will be like the Most High." You're not in good company!

This is what I call moronic. Staying home with Bible instead of doing some activity with Lord.

What is so hard mentally to accept obviousness of truth of paragraf before? There is nothing unbiblical there.

You literally invented my claim of direct revelation.
The operative word there is "assume".

So Lord's plans will fail?

Let me ask you one simple question?

How can plan of being who can do anything fail? If he can do anything, he can achieve any plan, therefore no plan of his can fail.

Oh, look at Isaiah 55:11

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

So all that Lord needs to do is to send word and it's done.
You are confusing His desires with His plans.

You have totally lost it too.

I didn't denied authority of Bible. I deny authority of Bible above Lord.

Why don't you get it?

Better learn directly from Lord as Mary than ever reading Bible. Who is author of Bible? Lord. So what can Bible contain/inform me than Lord can't.

Besides Lord doesn't suffer from lying translator.

I thought people here are Christians, not Biblicians. It's Christ who defines and is center of faith, not Bible.

You won't need Bible in New Jerusalem. Any theological issues can be solved just like in when Jesus was here on Earth. Just ask Him.
You are claiming special revelation. That is where you have gone wrong!

OK watch out for anything that comes from Bart Ehrman. He has been proven wrong time and time again! Also, the Authorial Intent fallacy is one that our opponents love to employ all the time. We should not be guilty of doing the same.

Yesterday marked three years since Steve passed away.

I miss him dearly.
I am so sorry to hear that! May God fill you with peace and comfort, and should you so choose, another husband who can fill his shoes.

I have said that learning about Lord from Lord is better than learning about Lord from Bible.

Is this isn't obvious to you, you are blinded by Bible.

Instead of thinking biblically and what Bible says, use logic and common sense. It will become obvious I have said truth. Or maybe you need more prayer time.

I already provided you biblical example where somebody prefer learning from Lord than reading Bible (Martha).

I claim zero special revelation.

I believe in universalism, Christian belief that Lord will save us all. From where do you think that comes? Bible.

How I become convicted in universalism is simple: He has will, He has ability, therefore He will.

I also treat Lord as person. He has motives, desires, wishes and acts on them.

But if situation is true, would you stay home and read Bible?
While I know the situation will never transpire because of what we know Jesus Himself said, if the Scriptures did not record Jesus speaking about false prophets and some people saying "If they say 'Look, He is here!'....Do not go", then of course I would go! However, as it has already been pointed out to you, this will not happen.

It is amazing to see what we might have missed by just filling a pew or sitting in a Sunday school class.

I know many Torah folks who started peeling away the NT little by little until they no longer wanted any of it, going full Torah only without the Messiah.

I think the movement to remove Paul from our study is misguided for all kinds of reasons. I won’t tell you how to study or worship, only just to be Berean at all times.

You've dug yourself into such a deep hole you have to make foolish statements now to back up your claim. Stop digging and put down the shovel. Jesus Christ was present and Martha could sit and listen. She didn't have a New Testament Bible to read the gospels. Paul wrote telling Timothy to Preach the word! He didn't tell him to tell the people to ignore the Holy Scriptures and rely on logic and common sense. Wake up man!

We have no desire to remove anything at all, Berean indeed…that is how we got “here.” We have been on an acceptance of the whole word of God lifestyle since 2007. We have seen some crazy stuff that we have lost fellowship over for refusing to agree with it. We have seen many turn away from Jesus…it’s heart breaking. Our eyes are on Jesus, the Word of God, the Author and Finisher of our faith . ❤️.

I appreciate your concerns. They are indeed valid considering everything we have seen over the years.

Also, just to clarify- I wasn’t dismissing Paul…just noting that diverse scholars just don’t think he wrote those and being Berean always goes back to original intent and meaning- removing our present cultural lenses and putting on the ones worn at the time of the writing and checking them against Torah, writings, and prophets- the scriptures that were actually being studied and quoted by Jesus and apostles.

Check the biases of those scholars. Also, many of the "Pauline epistles" include other authors such as Timothy (obviously not the Timothy letters) and Silvanus (or Silas), who also co-wrote one of the Petrine epistles.

Stand Christa Pike behind Nidal Hasan, problem solved.

Stand Christa Pike behind Nidal Hasan, problem solved.

Christa Pike was sentenced to execution by lethal injection and that sentence was carried out.

In my humble opinion she has endured the price of her crime and she should be released.

In the past anyone who survived an execution was freed given that God had clearly redeemed the person.

I concur.
