I should point out that I own and carry concealed various handguns in various calibers. I’m not disputing that they are effective weapons with an important role to play. They’re just not the right choice for this scenario.

The people he's talking about weren't well meaning, many of them were communist agents from the start. What we're seeing today with communists rioting in the streets has it's seed in events from 100 years ago (and farther). It's the same playbook they used in Germany.

You’re right, the communists are playing the long game. Marxist ideas have to be actively rooted out, ridiculed, and debunked. We as a nation have handed our children over to marxists teachers to be indoctrinated for the last 60 years or so. They have a couple of generations who hold at least some components of marxist ideology and don’t even realize it. Preventing the absolute and complete takeover of marxism in this country and globally is going to take a herculean effort.

Military is still using 5.56mm and i just bought 1000 rounds of M855 green tip 5.56mm from cheaper than dirt delivered in three days. Store shelves fluctuate and i think we are in an ebb at this time.

But you haven’t obeyed your Lord and Savior up to this point and suddenly are feeling convicted. Great. I’m here for you.

Jesus didn’t just instruct His disciples to buy a generic sword. He told them to get the gladius, the AR-15 of it’s day. Maybe you’re not ready to take that plunge yet though and want to stop short of America’s rifle. Here are some helpful tips.

Do not buy a handgun! They’re difficult to be effective with and lack major capabilities you want and you probably can’t carry them “legally”.

The 12 gauge shotgun is a fantastic choice and pump action examples can be fired with reduced power shells for newbies, women and soyboy who think Jesus was a nice guy pacifist. Try to get one with a detachable box magazine. This setup will handle the vast majority of situations.

If you plan to use a .22 first remember my first point, no handguns, and then you NEED to have a semi-automatic with several high capacity magazines. There are several good ones just stick with a name brand rifle and magazines. The Ruger 10/22 with BX magazines are the most common example.

Do consider a lever action chambered in a pistol caliber like .357 magnum. They are shockingly effective out to a hundred yards and can hold up to 11 rounds in a very non threatening package. Make sure you get one with a “King’s gate” or loading gate in the receiver. They allow for single round “top off” reloading and are much safer.

Your best bet is probably a carbine chambered in 9mm. There are a lot of them So do your research. Anything labeled “AR-9” could be a crapshoot. Some of them are very good and some of them are spotty.

You and you alone are responsible for the safety of your family and you need a firearm. Please message me if you have other questions. @Verifyveritas76 is also very knowledgeable on this topic and I am sure he would help out as well.

Or you could just man up and go buy and AR-15 and start amassing a minimum of a sling, seven magazines and 300 rounds of ammunition. That’s a combat load plus a little extra for training, the bare minimum George Washington thought was necessary to consider yourself and American man. @FollowingHim is free to choose whatever godless weirdness the Europeans have foisted upon him. I agree. Every American Christian should be armed, and a lifetime member of the NRA, because of the command of Jesus Christ (Matthew 10:34; Luke 22:36). My only disagreement is the AR-15 idea. Since I've got no idea where u got that from.

I appreciate the opportunity to mentor a younger brother in Christ and help reveal to him the truths of God’s Word, even though as @Asforme&myhouse said you have grievously wounded me. It’s alright though, we’re called to turn the other cheek.

But remember the word “gladius”? To the first century ear, and thus the Apostles, that word denoted the main weapon of the Roman Legions, the modern corollary to which for anyone so blessed as to live in a land that’s America, is the AR-15.
 
Sadly my first exposure to the platform was hearing old Vietnam vets talking about their experience being cursed with the M16A1 in the war.

Building from an 80% lower can be a good option for handguns (I have no experience with 80% and/or polymer rifles, but you can look them up). It can be done with basic tools and there are plenty of tutorials available showing various methods. Unless your experienced, I would recommend OEM Glock internal parts for the upper and lower as most problems people run into seem to come from different tolerances of aftermarket parts, especially when mixed.

Well, there was a big fire, including an explosion. There might have been some Tannerite involved. Then the current of the Mississippi scattered the remains well south of Memphis. If you find something, please let me know. I dearly miss Giselle and Felicia both.

Like many things in the 1960s that can be blamed on the Kennedy and his “best and brightest” college boys. Although admittedly they were trying to deal with a famously intractable Army ordinance department. The main upshot was that the ammo was made with the wrong powder, the barres weren’t chrome lined and no one was trained on the rifle appropriately mostly because no one had an expert with it. Those problems were all very quickly solved.
