• Biblical Families is not a dating website. It is a forum to discuss issues relating to marriage and the Bible, and to offer guidance and support, not to find a wife. Click here for more information.

Thanks for doing this site!

It'll be good to be back. Apart from missing the family and friends... there'll be some creature comforts that I'll be glad to have again. You know, they've got no Mozzarella cheese sticks or ranch dip over here?!? Forget with exporting democracy to the underdeveloped world, send them that stuff. It'll make them happy, for sure!

Welcome to the forums, JAG. You are going to find that we are an eclectic bunch, ranging across a wide swath of Christian denominational backgrounds, brought together by this somewhat foreign concept that God loves women enough to provide loving husbands for them. Weird.

Blessings

Once again we need a "like" button here! Wonderfully put Samuel, no wonder Sarah married you. :D

Yip, he's a good one!

Welcome along JAG. It's a brilliant site aye, I love it!

DocInKorea - thanks for the welcome and totally laughing out loud at your comment, "God loves women enough to provide loving husbands for them." Yes, strange he would love us like that!

Dear BF Community and Leadership Team,

I joined this site 12 years ago. This community was so helpful in answering and navigating really complicated passages. Also your support for me and my family personally was so welcome and supportive.

After 12 years of giving this a try in various ways, God has said it’s time for me to pursue monogamy wholeheartedly. As many of you have said, sometimes it’s not a fit for you and that’s ok. That time has come for me and I need to focus 100% of my energy there.

Posting here to both say THANK YOU for the many years of deep discussion and support. And also when when you see me asking to be removed from the emailing lists you aren’t discouraged - please know I love and appreciate you.

Thank you again. Many blessings from our Lord to each of you.

Respectfully and with care,

JustAGuy “JAG”

May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Being able to "see" the providential leading and direction God has for one's life takes wisdom and maturity. May God bless you as you walk wisely in the shadow of His wings. 🙏

Blessings.

But why not just say He has said it's time for me to pursue the single wife He has (or may) given me wholeheartedly?

Why pursue what it sounds like you know to be a false doctrine? And does that mean you would refuse a second blessing from Him anyway?

I think he’s saying the Serenity Prayer. He’s not giving up, he’s giving over.

There are plenty of men over the years who have done the same.

I don’t think he meant this to be a discussion thread.

@JustAGuy how did yo plan on this announcement going?
