I spy parallels (ok too many kid books)
People:
Most today think that a piece of paper from a state makes them married.
Churches:
A denominational label means they are christian.
People:
They think that love is pure approval, and correction is not love.
Churches:
This is our doctrinal statement and we WILL NOT CHANGE.
You are trying to destroy true christianity....."your bible" must be wrong.
People:
Confusing "personal identity" and "me time" fun with the real happiness, that comes from work, service and personal growth.
Churches:
We have great programs!
And finally
Beliefs and feelings are the same as truth.
Wife:
I don't "feel" like my husband appreciates me. = He doesn't love me.
Churches and the people who love them:
Well, we don't "feel" that polygyny is God's best. = God was wrong and the state legislated morality is better.
Truth says:
Love is unconditional but we correct those we love, not because we want to destroy them but so that they can enjoy real happiness by following correct principles that lead to the well being and prosperity of the whole of mankind and the world.

Let YHWH (God) be true and every man a liar.
"Welcome to mystery Babylon! My name is Prophesy and I'm your tour guide. Yes this was the premium party destination of the world, but the red queen is very bloodthirsty. She is about to over fill her cup.
Yes, your rapture ticket is good, but that flight is scheduled for after the fireworks. Your current assignment is still to be salt and light. Help as many as you can get their tickets too, and get ready for the tare removal and harvest that is coming.
The king will remove the bloodthirsty queen, and your witness may be able to help identify the queens minions. There is armor available, but truly you don't need to worry about getting killed. The King has conquered death and has promised none of His servants will miss the homecoming celebration. Your ticket will get you there from any point of origin on earth, or the grave.
Fear not. Look for the light. Be strong."
"Labor to bring forth oh captive daughter of Tsion."
In labor, transition is where you want to give up...and many women do (gimme an epidural or c-section!) ....but that is right before you can PUSH and DO SOMETHING! The great and dreadful day approaches. The day of deliverence... the natal day of the reign of Christ! I'm so glad the last chapter is written! We can look forward to the end knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of God. The author and finisher of our faith.
I'm sure no writer....this is just musings in type.
