The labor of love

So, I was thinking about childbirth and how the journey of plural is similar. When a woman gets pregnant, there are all kinds of emotions she may face (sometimes at the same time) there can be excitement, fear, joy, anxiety, and so on. Pregnancy is a journey that takes strength, patience and prayer to get through. There are pains, there are emotions, there are fears of the unknown. You can prep and hope for the best, but only God knows how labor will be. It can be long and hard or short and easy. Each woman is different. Same for poly.. in the beginning stages, there are new emotions that surface.. as the poly baby grows (dating/ courting) there may be many pains to work through. As you near the labor (marriage) all of the prep work (emotional, spiritual) will be tested. Some ladies seem to get it and have an easier time with the adjustment, others struggle and really have to push (hahah) a lot harder to get to the joy side. As a new mother glows when she has competed the miraculous task of bringing a baby earth side, so will the wife that perseveres through the labor of love towards her husband to welcome his new bride.

Just a random thought <3

Oh how I have a lot of growing to do!

Some wonderful thoughts!

Love it! In labour too, you lose control. Your body takes over and does what it needs to do to get the baby out, and that loss of control can sometimes be more upsetting that the pains you're actually going through. But when we relax, focus on YHWH, and let our body take over, it goes a lot easier.
And always remember what we're striving for. At the very end we have another addition to the family and more love. We look at that child and know that it was all worth it. So too with plural marriage, when another woman is added to the family, going through the difficulties of that will all be worth it eventually.
