Let’s not have a debate about the gift of tongues.
I went to a church once full of babblers. The trouble was they were NOT obeying the word as there was no interpreter.Let’s not have a debate about the gift of tongues.
Yeah, at the risk of starting the very debate I asked us not to have; that’s one of the reasons I moved away from the Pentecostal church. I accept the gift of tongues (even babbling) as being real but it’s not for public worship and if it does manifest in public then, like you said, it’s supposed to be accompanied by an interpretation.I went to a church once full of babblers. And leaven is usually a "bad" thing....except there was this one place in the bible....The problem of our generation is leaven that has been turned into truth over many generations of acceptance. “You say a lie long enough it becomes truth.”
Is this the one you're after? And leaven is usually a "bad" thing....except there was this one place in the bible....
Does anybody else remember the passage where something good is likened to leaven?
Yes! Winner, Winner, chicken dinner! Is this the one you're after?
Luk 13:20 And again He said, "To what shall I liken the kingdom of God?
Luk 13:21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened."
Just for the record, one’s prayer tongue is different than the gift of speaking in tongues.I accept the gift of tongues (even babbling) as being real but it’s not for public worship and if it does manifest in public then, like you said, it’s supposed to be accompanied by an interpretation.
