I think that many are recruited “in position”, people who have consciences are choosing to rat out the problems even though they have no journalistic experience.
O’Keefe provides the equipment and a bit of coaching for the task. These are mostly not infiltrators.

He is definitely doing a great job of it all.

Lol...it is almost all guys and there is a stronger motivator for males than money to puff out their chest and try to impress someone. They are on dates. They are hoping to get their leg over.

Pfizer director is feeling under attack. Instictive human reaction.

His career and livehood is under attack. He must be dealing with crisis inside Pfizer right now. It's reasonable to assume Pzifer board is looking for ways to get rid of such "asset".

In case he gets fired, very probably possibility, his career got upgrade to burger flipper or garbage cleaner. In love sense going from good catch to better avoid must bloody hurt.
