• Biblical Families is not a dating website. It is a forum to discuss issues relating to marriage and the Bible, and to offer guidance and support, not to find a wife. Click here for more information.

I have been invovled in this website a lot. My question where does it go or what is done next to be a better source for the Kingdom of God. I have seen so many people come and go. I just want everything I do and assocaited with to bring people closer to God.

People come to this site for information and support.
Is it necessary for it to go anywhere?

This website has a specific primary focus, which is Biblical Families. There are other sites that have a different primary focus to cater to people with those needs or interests, e.g. creation ministries, home education, etc.. Here, we help people grow in their understanding of the truth from the Word of God regarding marriage and families. People often come to Biblical Families with concerns or problems which have arisen in their relationships and/or with questions about polygyny. That's the ministry focus (although we get a little distracted at time ;)), and it's what we try to maintain - something more difficult than many realise.

This, and the fact that most who come on this site already know Jesus in some capacity. It may be with slightly different understanding, but rarely with no knowledge.

It’s not evangelistic, but you could weave certain aspects of that into your replies or posts. And there’s always private messaging if you want to pursue the matter with individuals.

I would say that one of the things this ministry helps people with is support when they are coming to grips with their changing view of our unchanging God.
We help them get a more balanced view of a lifestyle that is vilified in the media, who only tell you about arrests of monsters and victims of polygyny.....
Since most have lived in a culture and religious community that is monogamous they have no idea what NORMAL plural families are like and might question the morals of those living in multiple wife families.
It can be quite disconcerting to realize the truth is so different from what you were told. That God has a different view of a man with several wives than the local pastor and self righteous you tube bloggers.
As people dig into the Bible on this subject they run into questions. Many of those questions have already been answered here. I think some probably use this as strictly a resource and really don't want to interact on the forum. My sisterwife is kind of an example of that. Before she married into the family she read and looked at this site....and my posts. She has only posted a couple times herself.

So I believe people coming and going does not reflect poorly on the site at all, as their need or curiosity may have been satisfied.

There is another aspect here too. Many of us that have met in real life enjoy the other discussions on biblical theological matters. This is community and fellowship from retreats continued in-between the real life meet ups.
Many have expressed relief at finding others who also realize polygyny is moral and enjoy interacting with folks who don't turn every discussion into an attack on them for believing this way.

I've been typing while listening to a live music jam ...people on guitars, mandolins, banjo, and fiddle, all playing folk music....so if that post lacked flow that is probably why.

This is the answer. People come here to get what they need. Some people stay to be part of the work. Others move on to their personal callings.
