Yes, there is a movement to take away women’s right to vote

Couldn't be much worse than men who get their news from X.

Apparently that was from "Original clip from the 2019 town hall." Regarding prescription drug costs.

Audience Member: "What will you do to lower the cost of prescription drugs?"

Kamala Harris: "I will do a number of things. One, we’re going to establish a fair market. If they don’t comply with that—if they charge Americans more than what they charge people in other countries—I will strip them of federal funding for research."

"And, I will use a legal mechanism called march-in rights. For drug companies that were developed using taxpayer-funded research, if they refuse to lower prices, I will snatch their patent, so that we [the government] will take over. Yes, we can do that! We can issue a compulsory license to a generic drug manufacturer so people can get their life-saving medicine at an affordable price."
That wouldn’t have been a reasonable way to handle it.

An image I came across this week. Even in the height of what people consider to be the boom of patriarchal/tradwife living in the 1940's-50's Norman Rockwell painted this image. A wife is not guaranteed to vote with her husband. 1793529765822.jpeg

I’m against anything that isn’t biblically commanded which promotes egalitarian driven marital disunity. Whether it’s for politicians, pastors or even birthday parties, I don’t think women voting differently or separately than their men glorifies God in the slightest.

Eve was presumptuous in deviating from God’s rule and Adam’s leadership by “voting differently” than Adam, in a manner of speaking, and look where that got us all. 🤷‍♂️

This is a nonfactor, most married couples votes align together anyway. Only about 1 in 8 women vote differently than their husbands. Like 90% already vote with their husbands.

Temptation may rightly be called many things, but never a non-factor. This is why we are to pray against being led into it.

You're defining/creating a temptation where there may be none. We don't know if the husbands of those 1 in 8 women even care if their wives vote differently. Some men don't make a big deal out of the things that people on this forum insist are "disobedience."

Isn’t it ironic that almost 80 years later, the women are still drawn to the Dems?

But in historical context, Dewey was probably more liberal than Truman in many areas except business.

Sorry, but I dont really see why women should not be allowed to vote- could someone please explain a biblically-based rationale for this? And not the "women are emotional" bull crap, because men are emotional too.

We are both made in the image of God (even if through man).

We are both co-heirs with christ.

We are both of equal spiritual value, therefore we are equally human and have the same basic rights- why should women not be allowed to vote?

The problem is that women are too emotional. Imagine if we had a woman in the White House. She would probably start a war in the middle east on a whim with no plan on how to end it. Her support for Ukraine would probably depend on her mood and how things are going in other areas of her life. Innocent people would die because she would temporarily limit Ukraine's defenses when she's in a bad mood. If she lost her reelection bid, she might lead an angry mob of feminists to attack the capitol.

Why would anyone be that comfortable with the fact their vote is effectively being canceled out by the person they are married to? That applies to either party. That is much more a factor of logic than disobedience.

If a husband and wife are voting for opposing candidates, I think having their votes canceled out by each other is the least of their concerns. I can't imagine marrying someone I disagree with on such basic issues.

I know that even some women will disagree, but I think it's incredibly disrespectful to say that anyone's voice shouldn't be heard in an election, regardless of the reason, as long as that person is making an informed decision. To me, that seems like treating a person as a lesser human. That doesn't just apply to gender, but also to people's political opinions. What's the point in holding a vote if we try to suppress the people who have differing opinions? You might as will skip the democracy pretense and just run an honest authoritarian regime. It's much better to win people over through level headed discussion.

I was referring to Kojent's comment when I said "disobedience." My point was that the majority of married people seem to align politically or at the very least vote unanimously, which is exactly what a lot of people here seem to want. So I don't understand the reasoning behind the outrage. It comes across as propaganda, you already have your way.

Just shows that women are consistently smarter 😆
Smarts are not the same as wisdom or discernment. 😉

I’m not a Republican, nor do I think they are somehow morally superior, but the Dems have been wholly captured by dark forces set on destroying Western Christian society.
