Who the heck is Robert Kiyosaki?...Careful, Kiyosaki was a major influence on @andrew ’s concept of “scalable marriage”. You don’t need ant to commit heresy….

He is the author of the famous book "Rich Dad Poor Dad". I've read it and recommend reading it.Who the heck is Robert Kiyosaki?...![]()

I do love a good time…Let’s the good times roll?
The birds of the air don't ask questions like this. Do your best and have as many kids and wives as you want/He wills.I am 26 years old and single. I know that having a family is expensive and I want to be financially responsible and not get married and have children before I can afford to. Right now I have a steady job and I make enough money to pay for the things that I need and to save a little bit. I could not buy a house or support a wife and children with my current income, and I think that it is unlikely that the income from my job will increase in the near future. I am looking into starting some kind of side business to increase my income, but I know that the outcome of that is uncertain. I am also concerned that mass inflation will continue and that I will be poorer in the future than I am now because of it.
So the advice I am looking for is how long I should wait to start seriously looking for a wife. I want to make sure that what I do is in line with scripture and that I will be able to fulfill all of my responsibilities to my family. The scripture that I found about being a provider is exodus 21:10-11 and 1 timothy 5:8 but other than that I am not sure what my financial obligations are to my wife according to the bible.
Do you think that I would be meeting my obligations to provide food, clothing, and shelter to my wife if her income to is required to help pay the bills?
I know that if I had several wives instead of one we could all pool our income together and better afford things. I am just not sure if it would be a good idea to pursue plural marriage for financial reasons.
I mostly agree, but Yeshuah wasn’t saying that you could be slothful or wasteful while expecting His provision. The birds of the air don't ask questions like this. Do your best and have as many kids and wives as you want/He wills.
Matthew 6
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;
29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Yes indeed. Get your business/employment situation in order then build your household. Proverbs 24:27 Prepare your outside work, Make it fit for yourself in the field; And afterward build your house. If you had started your apprenticeship at 12, you would be a journeyman. In many cases we have failed the next generation by NOT insisting that Jr gets a trade. A plumber or electrician still makes a very nice honest living at upwards of 100 per hour, but in any case you must bust your buns, earn your bread by the sweat of your brow, whether farm or factory. Do not depend on Uncle Sam to bail you out of poor decisions- read that Welfare is NOT the blessing of God. He that desires a wife desires a good thing but don't chase a woman if you cant feed yourself.
I agree 100% and if I had known then what I know now, I would have not felt rushed at all, but you don't learn what lies you are being fed, until you have lived through the consequences of believing those lies.More important than how much you make, is knowing how to make it, and knowing how to handle it. Understanding money, and how and when to spend, save, and invest. That way you are not dependent on a job or an employer, you can always generate an income regardless of your location or circumstance. The Most High will provide the opportunities, but you have to be ready and know what to do with it when it comes, be a good steward.
It is wise for Aaron D to consider those matters, seriously, especially in USA. In Brazil, near the East side of the Andes Mountains, several concubines were conversing on the subject of poly gunes (multiple women) and they said they liked this arrangement, because the family was richer; There was less work and life was more fun.I am 26 years old and single. So your wife didn't know? You mean you intended to blindside her with this?It is wise for Aaron D to consider those matters, seriously, especially in USA. I got married in California, and had 4 children, later I found a willing lass, her father found out about it and the whole household suddenly left their house and disappeared. My wife found out too, and left me. I asked her several times to come back and she refused. She was a school teacher and I was the house husband. When she split she turned off the utilities etc. So I filed for divorce, and still willing to cancel it if she returned. She refused. So, I filed for her share of her pension as we had been married for over 20 years. So just as many wives get money from divorces, so I got money.
You planned on getting a second wife and just showing up with her one day or what? Was it really worth blowing your marriage up? Not everyone should practice this. Just because one can doesn’t mean they should. Personally, that is one way to decimate marriages not add to them.It is wise for Aaron D to consider those matters, seriously, especially in USA. Absolutely! I have an in-law whom I started getting notifications on FB that he was sending messages to some random woman of a nature that he would not want his wife to find out about. I told him that if he chose polygyny that would be a difficult path to choose, but whatever he does, he should not blindside his wife with it.You planned on getting a second wife and just showing up with her one day or what?
