My YouTube Channel "DreamPolly"

I think it let's you upload images, even though it does not say so in the prompt?

Ok. So it doesn't work quite the same on the phone as desktop.
On the left side, there's Settings / Upload / Subtitles / etc.
Next to that is "Edit Image" or "Edit Audio" or whatever.
To the right of that is your preview panel.
Below both of those is your "timeline".
At the very bottom of the timeline is the audio you uploaded. The numbers show how long it runs for & if it loops or not.

Above that are your images in a cascading stairs up the timeline w each new image. The default span for each image is :30 (30 seconds). This can be adjusted in the timeline w your mouse by sliding the edges closer together. Or, more precisely, it can be changed in the "Edit Image" area.

The "Start" number is what time in the video to display the image. The "End" number is what time to stop displaying it.

So the first image will Start at :00. If you want it to only last 15 seconds, End should read :15.

The 2nd image would then Start at :15. If you want it to End after 10 seconds (basic math: 15+10=...) :25.

The Start is always the same as the previous end.

If you want the next image to last 12 seconds, End at :37. If you want the next image to end after 30 seconds, :67. Uh-oh. A minute only last 60 seconds. So, that image would end at 1:07. Etc.

To keep it easy, evenly spaced the images in an easy number like 10, 15, or 20 seconds.
Watch the video.

If it's too fast, slow it down... adjust the time for each image for more display time.

If it's too fast, speed it up ... adjust the time for each image for less display time.

If most are ok, but one needs more time or less, only adjust that image total display time and make sure the others fall where they need to.

The total length of the video is determined in the "Duration" item under "Settings". Make sure this is long enough to include all your images.

Part 1 of episode 3 of Three's Not A Crowed is now out!

2) Guns & kidnapping aren't as plausible.

My are stories are not to supposed to be completely plausible.

When it comes to making stories, I like to go with the flow. I may make my stories over the top, but at least it makes it more interesting!

But in case you're wondering: I never put death or blood in my stories cause' I emotionally can't handle it.

Part 2 of episode three is now out! Sorry if it's a bit sad.

Just want to add something here. I'm okay with my characters mentioning death, and I'm okay with them thinking someone died (as long as they find out later they're actually still alive.) But I don't want them to actually die in the story.

I laughed out loud when the news reporter reminded us to trust the government even though they want to kill us!

Hi @Emily.

I offer an animated short from 1969 that illustrates that everything doesn't always have to point toward the positive:

Keep up the good work.

I've deleted a large number of posts by @Tesfalcon which were becoming overly critical and upsetting @Emily for no good reason, including some posted after she asked him to stop, and some responses of others to those posts. From this point on, please remember that @Emily is a child sharing her artwork with you, not an adult seeking professional advice, and picture your daughter bringing her latest drawing to you when reading it. In the light of the posts I have had to just delete, I will be treating this specific thread as if it were written by my own daughter, and using the delete button freely on anything that I feel is unhelpful even if the post in question is not technically in breach of the forum rules.

What's funny Emily is that I've thought of writing a story where a wealthy man with several wives dies and leaves everything unexpectedly to a young and much poorer man, who finds that he is expected to marry all of the man's wives at once (which would lead to much fun and sorting out of emotions and relationships). I'm looking forward to seeing how your story gets worked out in the end!

Aw, thank you! Your message cheered me up. I actually had the same idea as you once, but I never made it lol!

As a online marketing student and web developer, I have 3 piece of advice for YouTube or whatever.

1) Content is King
Set a regular posting schedule a follow it TO THE LETTER. Start w realistic goals like 1 vid weekly. Whatever you have to do, post it on schedule weekly. Don't worry about quality; that will come w time. Don't worry about cinematography; you'll learn it. Don't worry about perfect anything; it's not & never will be. Esp in the beginning, the real growth is YOU becoming a "YouTuber".

2) Honesty sells. Don't worry about being funny or cute or clever; if that's not you, you'll get tired of the act. Don't create a character; be authentic. Don't exaggerate; be real.

3) Script! Ad libbing w a camera is HARD.
Plan your vid.
Prepare your script.
Present your info.
The difference between successful channels and flops is largely one of process. Those w process have taken the work out of how and merely need to plug in the what. Those w/o process are constantly making the same decisions over and over again and getting tired of deciding. Thus those w process can crank out more content faster w less work than those without. This translates to more personal time, less frustrations, and higher likelihood of not quitting.

"The harder I work, the luckier I get." - ???

Good luck.
