Ohio Pastor adds a wife!

Prophesying does have a foretelling and a forthtelling component. Prophets with a Big P are rarely coloring inside the lines and simply forthtelling what’s already been inspired and preserved by God in His Word.

Go and ask him what he means, man. Don’t take my word for it. Go and see for yourself. I’ve done my homework. If you don’t like where I landed and the answers I came up with, by all means Brother; be a Berean, do the hard work and the heart work for yourself on this one.

He’s an apostate and a heretic and a terrible mascot for any sort of orthodox pro-polygyny movement.
The man calls himself a Prophet. His women are absolutely being placed in positions of authority by the mere virtue of their speech. Feel free to look more deeply into the details of their congregation.

The prohibition against teaching is separate and extends beyond the boundaries of the four walls of a building. Older women can teach other women what’s listed in Titus 2.

We make these things so complicated and they’re really not. Silence means silence.
I am not qualified to arbitrate orthodoxy, but your accusations are pretty deep. Specifically apostate, and heretic.
I’d like to see some citations on your homework about this guy. Point me in the right direction.

Isaiah 43:26 confronts these kinds of broad condemnations: "Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mare ayest be justified." God says to layout the facts, not assert from a distance.

What specifically are the women saying or doing?

Prophecy in the gathered assembly? Leadership over men? It matters! They carry different weight under 1 Tim 2:12 vs. 1 Cor 14:34–35 vs. Acts 21:9 (Philip's four daughters prophesied).

Do you have citations of him claiming to be a "Prophet" with a capital P? claiming new revelation?. Help me out with a video and timestamp.

Cor 14:34 uses sigatosan (to keep silent), and Paul himself commends women praying and even prophesying in 1 Cor 11:5, This in the same letter!. If silence actualy means absolute silence, those two passages contradict one and other. How do we reconcile them? It’s not as simple as you claim).

You are telling others "be a Berean, do the hard work." I definitely agree. Acts 17:11 commends the Bereans because they thoroughly examine claims through the lense of Scripture. They didn't just accept an assertion that something was heretical. They checked whether the things were so. We can check your claims against scripture, and if the claims turn out to be true then he is what you say. The probem is claims are claims, whats the cause of the claims? Evidence must be presented and facts established.

Again, please cite the antithetical message. Show evidence of the doctrinal error. Point to what he taught or is teaching that contradicts Scripture. Absent of that, Proverbs 18:17 says "He that is first of his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him." Your case seems just until someone searches it.

I'm not defending this guy at all. I am just asking for the evidence before agreeing with your verdict.

Your claims can be settled and established as fact with simple citation of evidence.

Co-pastoring is without any biblical basis whatsoever.

“Prophet Israel co-pastors with his wife Lydia” comes directly from his bio on this website.

“Pastor Lydia was "born and raised" in church as some would say”

You can start with primary source material, friend. My days are numbered in this circus, man. I really can’t deal with the clowns.

Between the leader of this forum acting as if Judges commends everyone doing what is right in their own eyes and this, it’s almost too much. Men can not be Prophets today and women can not be Pastors.

How there are so many grown men leading families (and entertaining plural wives) that drive, vote, work, etc., and struggle at the absolute basics of the faith is beyond me. This is milk and babes stuff, man. I’m not trying to denigrate you or anyone else here, but wake up already. Just that stuff on their About Us page is not biblical in any sense of the word.

As for comparing 1 Corinthians 11 and 14, it’s easy to discern but I admit not without effort.

Paul doesn’t really start talking about how things are to go in the churches until v16 or thereabouts in Chapter 11. Silence is commanded in the churches, prayer and prophesy where it happens otherwise is to be done by women with their headcovered, but never in a way that teaches or usurps authority over or leads men. This is why we see Agabus taking the sandal express to Paul while he’s lodging with four female prophetesses, the daughters of Philip. These things are hard to be understood because of Paul’s writing style but you can clearly see the phrase “in the churches” being used in Chapter 14, with no such qualification early on in Chapter 11.

If hair is a covering, it’s a shame for you and I to pray with hair on our heads.

You can look at Mr. John Fish III’s treatment of this topic in “Women Speaking In The Churches” is where he publishes an academic paper that systematically goes through and does that Berean work of comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

John H. Fish III's article "Women Speaking in the Church: The Relationship of 1 Corinthians 11:5 and 14:34-36" was published in the Emmaus Journal (Volume 1, Issue 3, Winter 1992, pages 215–252).
