Polygamy Houses

But that's another reason not to go searching and try to make this happen. If you took another wife on your own initiative today, yes you'd probably lose your job along with various other problems, you probably also don't have a bedroom to put her in, you'd have all sorts of problems. But if one day God brings you another wife, in His timing, then He'll have a plan for all of this. We don't have to worry about all of the details, because by the time this happens, if it happens, the details could be very different. Just have faith and follow where God leads you - and if polygamy is one of the details of that journey, He'll make it work out at the time.

Is that really how God works though? Or does He put it in our hearts to pursue polygamy and then expects us to step up and do the work to get another wife? Helps those who help themselves sort of thing?

In context of this thread: will He miraculously provide a bigger house or does He expect us to work our asses off to fund and build one?

Agreed. @Isaac tells a pretty good story along these lines.

Just be prepared for whatever he brings. Our story includes several years of living pretty close to the ground....

Also agree. :) It has certainly been the case in my experience. Not only when God brought me a second wife, but also throughout the years as he added children to our family. Every time, He's had a plan and provided. Hasn't always been what I was planning...as a matter of fact...it rarely has been! :D But that's MORE than okay with me.

I agree with the concept "Work like it depends on you and pray like it depends on God". Not quite what you're saying @rockfox--but maybe close. However, I so get what @Joleneakamama is saying. Please understand that what I'm saying next applies to both male and female--but there's sooooo many creeps out there today who have nothing better to do nor desire nothing more than to wreck havoc where ever they go and with whomever they come into contact! It's disgusting! From @Joleneakamama's end of it, they're not willing to subject their household to the possible "creeps" in order to have that 2nd wife. From my end of it, I don't want to be subjected to the "creeps" who love being scammers and catfishers to have a husband. Our heart's desires are real. In the meantime being faithful to what God has given and where He has placed you, IMHO, positions one for His blessing and His ability to cause paths to cross--which only He can do. It's not like we are sitting on our hand, twiddling our thumbs, and whistling Dixie.

Yes, but look what you have now!!! :)
We're blessed, but as you know the biggest blessing is knowing that you're right where you're supposed to be, doing what God wants you to do and learning what God wants you to learn. Everything else is just garnish. Eyes on the prize....
