Yes, we do.Oh man that's terrible. We do live in such a messed up world.
It looks great! That's what I'm talking about, that time away from everyone and everything to 'rest' and focus on YHWH. I'm glad you're reading that book .I joined this group/blog and started reading Rest and Release
Urgh! I was downloading worksheets from a homeschooling site and downloaded a virus with them. It was a right pain until Samuel managed to clear it, which was not an easy task. They're not always great websites.Well Ladies, I just had the shock of my life and also anger. I was searching children worksheets off of a children site for homeschool and one button on a particular site had shown a screen with pictures of porn. My 13 yr old was behind me doing her work so she didn't happen to see it. I never moved so quickly in my life to exit it out. It angered me because it was on a children's site.
My husband tells me to be careful of what sites to look at but any of them could be infected. That happened years ago with us. Our computer was so badly infected that we had to eventually take it to a store to have it repaired. I agree though. I will have to set down and have a talk with them.Urgh! On another note, we do need to talk to our children about porn, because they're going to see it. My eldest has already seen an add like that by accident. It's so prolific that at some point it will be shown to them, even if they never seek it out. We need to be ahead of the game and teach them what it is, why it's bad, and what to do in that situation. And at the same time, not fill them with fear or make them curious, because that just encourages them to find out what the big deal really is. It's a balancing act, and it's about being sensible I think.
Hi all...I received news yesterday that my mom has breast cancer. Please keep her and our family in you prayers.
Love that verse!! I usually feel overwhelmed before trips too. I’m praying for you!Haven't prayed yet today but I saw this verse:
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
I had the opportunity to go to a Bible Quilting session/class last night.
I’m reading through Hebrews. Where are you all reading? I’m also breaking down the fruit of the Spirit a bit..
I haven't heard of this before. Does everyone just bring a quilt to work on while discussing scripture? Sounds pretty cool! Glad there weren't too many people to feel overwhelmed with and it sounds like you had good fellowship, so that's really cool.
I'm actually not reading anything right now. We're listening to Chuck Smith's through the Bible at breakfast (the kids and I ) and we're in Mark 11 right now. I think I might try to read some of the book of Sirach today.
Thank you for the prayers!
Thank you, yes, they're mostly doing better. I went on a massive cleaning spree, changed the towel in the bathroom 3x a day, cleaned the bathroom daily, and sprayed everyone's hands with hand sanitizer 3x a day. We never use that stuff, I hate it, we only have it because we were given it in a box of stuff. I don't know whether it was all that, or the prayers, but I think we're over the vomiting now. We are still working on the tail end of a cold, but the children aren't too sick with it. They aren't able to be too physically active because they start coughing, and there's some runny noses, but it's really not too bad.@FollowingHim2 I hope your little people are doing better!
I'm feeling much better today, and was able to drive yesterday afternoon. Samuel went to the dentist and praise God he didn't need a tooth removed which is what we thought would be the case! He just needs some antibiotics to kick a gum infection. He's still not sleeping well, but he's getting lots done overnight instead of sleeping so I guess that's helpful, lol. Please pray for Samuel and I. I was very sick earlier this week, and while I'm feeling better now, I am still getting the odd dizzy spell for no apparent reason. Not good when I need to be driving.
Samuel has a sore tooth with a complicated history, and is going to the dentist this afternoon. It's really wearing him down and he's not sleeping well.
Praying! Hope it's an easy fix.Hi Ladies! Please pray for my 5 yr old little Clara. She went to the Dentist recently and had to have surgery. When they went to give her oxygen through her nostrils, they realized that one nostril is almost sealed off. This is not good when she has a cold and also sleeping at night. She can't breathe right. She shares a room with her older sister and my older daughter can't sleep because of the youngest loud snoring. I set up an appointment with a nose specialist this Monday to see what this is and what they recommend.
