Angels vs demons

Psalm 138:2 KJV
[2] I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Luke 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Is God now mute?
Scripture is part of the "every word" it cannot possible be the totality of it.

As IshChayil quotes Rashi, "All translation is commentary."
Is God limited to only Hebrew and Greek?
Which version of Scripture is correct?
Even which version of the Hebrew or Greek is correct?

Should we just pass out Bibles and quit debating?
Should we throw our English versions away?
Only the Hebrew or Greek can have any merit?
Only those who can understand Hebrew and Greek can truly have access to the real word of God.
God cannot speak today? how sad.

The Holy Spirit through us speaks to this day, prophecying but if the message contradicts scripture then it's not the Holy Spirit talking through us.

Luke 4:3-4 kjv

3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of G-d, command this stone that it be made bread.

4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of G-d.

If your going to say that this is not just Yeshua rebuking The adversary I'm there with you. It's also Yeshua prophecying about the Gospels and the letters .

If your saying that He aS saying that any translation is as good as any other and is the truth well......I've read bibles that make everything gender neutral so not to offend anyone. There's versions that are homosexual friendly. The adversary is a liar and in the he misquoted scripture a few verses latter in Luke to try and trick Yeshua. Discernment is not only knowing right from wrong but also right from almost right. So I'm in the same camp as @IshChayil. All translations are comentary. That's not to say that translations are useless just that when reading them we must keep in context with the culture, the whole message, etymology if the words being used, the rest of scripture and the Holy Spirit must give us the discernment.

Proverbs 3:1-9

My son, forget not My instruction, and may your heart keep My commandments;
2for they shall add length of days and years of life and peace to you.
3Kindness and truth shall not leave you; bind them upon your neck, inscribe them upon the tablet of your heart;
4and find favor and good understanding in the sight of G-d and man.
5Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely upon your understanding.
6Know Him in all your ways, and He will direct your paths.
7Do not be wise in your own sight; fear the Lord and turn away from evil
8it shall be healing for your navel and marrow for your bones.
9Honor the Lord from your substance and from the first of all your grain,

Demons are interesting because scripture talks a lot about them, but never explains what they are. The only book I know that explains what they are is Enoch. As Jude 1:6 appears to reference Enoch, and the book has been held in high regard by various historical Jewish and Christian groups, I think that in the absence of better information we should simply believe what Enoch says about demons. And even if it's not complerely correct, it's simpler to just accept it, because it's still going to be closer to the truth than anything we make up ourselves...

Not just high regard, the Ethiopian Orthodox church included it in their cannon.

What is interesting about Enoch's explanation is not just that it contradicts the typical Protestant stance; but that Systematic Theologies, so called, frequently seem completely ignorant of it.

Finally caught up on this thread...
A thread I’d normally be excited to engage in!
... It’s been busy here recently in the West home since my newest precious baby boy “ENOCH” has arrived! Praise God for giving me another young disciple and soldier for His Kingdom that I may raise up for His glory!

It’s always blown me away how quickly and easily mainstream modern Christianity throws out the Book of Enoch like some psychedelic science fiction story... disregarding what Genesis chapter 6 clearly teaches us... dumbing down the real reason why the Creator decided to destroy the whole Earth and all of mankind with the exception one one man Noah (the name of my previous son lol) and his family... minimizing the type of evil people and cultures that had to be cleared out of the promised land (the Rephaim)... ignoring several direct quotes from Enoch throughout our “canonized text”, as well as multiple references :(!!!

I personally believe the Book of Enoch is like a missing puzzle piece, without which we fail to fully and properly understand two extremely important things... “HISTORY” and “the whole Angel / Demon / Evil Spirits thing”!

Our battle isn’t against flesh and blood... it’s against rebel angels, nephilim, rephaim, demons, evil sprits.... this war that we are engaged in is against the kingdom of darkness!

I’m fully confident that with The Lord granting us strength, my boys and I could take down a giant by ourselves!

Apparently I'm going to have to read the Book of Enoch at some point but I really don't want to.

You can do it!!! Though some of it can be difficult to get through and much of it is difficult to understand, there are many nuggets in there for those who approach it with an open mind and a willingness to allow the Spirit to guide them through it.

The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect ⌈⌈and⌉⌉ righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked ⌈⌈and godless⌉⌉ are to be removed. And he took up his parable and said--Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, ⌈which⌉ the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is for to come.
