Meetup.com charges $15/month and we are still a small group, so I am moving to free alternatives.

First of all I have created a facebook group. It can be found here:

Lastly I will be using meeting star to schedule and organize meetings.

I've requested to join to Facebook group, but am not sure how to log in to Meeting Star - if I try to create an account, it wants me to also create a group. Am I doing it wrong?!

I added you to the facebook group.

The meeting star issue was my fault. The link I posted above was wrong. I fixed it above, but here is the correct link again just in case:

There should be a red box at the bottom that says "Subscribe To This Group *". Click on that. Let me know if you still have problems.

It is not much, yet, but it is a start.

It was a pleasure to meet for the first time in person and have lunch with Daniel Deluca today in Austin. We had an excellent and enjoyable conversation.

If anyone is in the Austin area, please let me know. I would love to meet you, too, if have not, or would love you see you again if we have met.

An excellent question. When works best for you, or anyone else that would like to go?

I am happy to host, but ok with traveling and do not want to hog it if someone else has their heart set on hosting.

I am thinking of something in Sept and it is almost here. I am thinking a Saturday is best to give people time to travel although we can and are more than happy to accomodate over night guests who would like to come for the weekend.

Lets rule out the 1st as too soon and I am also on-call for work this week.

All other Saturdays are free for me, although I am also on call on Sept 22nd (every 3rd week). It does not mean we can not meet that day as usually I get no calls, but it does mean that I can not leave town that day, and also that there is a small chance I could get called in to work.

If we meet at my house September is still plenty good for swimming and grilling. Or if you are still upset that I almost killed you last time I grilled (true story) Ruth Ann loves cooking. We also like the acapella, but are more than fine with instruments. Maybe polygamy movie night w/popcorn? We are open for business. All here are welcome.
 
We could make most Saturdays in September work, and would love to come down for a grilling and swimming day (or really anything, we’d just love to see y’all again). Kids welcome, I assume? We have four, ages 3-8.

@Patricia C, we’d be driving in from Dallas and could probably pick you up if needed.
 
@KatyBeth thank you. I will have to see what date works for everyone and if I can get a train ticket to DFW

Thank you again. Hopefully my car will be fixed by then then I won't have to worry about any rides of train tickets :)

Fantastic thank you. I am still trying to fix my car. LOL I am going to try and do it myself. I am feeling pretty confident I can do it LOL
