One Flesh - a biological perspective

I am seeing the wisdom in @FollowingHim tracking children per mother.

If I track children we have (9) relative to the number of pregnancies(16), I feel less successful.

If I compare living children (9) to children lost (9) it gets worse.

And if I were to count all the attempts that didn't result in pregnancy compared to the 16 measly times I actually got pregnant???......it might to irreparable damage to my ego!

The amount of "practice" required for each child is embarrassing. I truly couldn't begin to estimate even.

But if I compare children per mother? ....then I can feel like I've got a serious lead my SW is going to have to work hard at overcoming.

Thank you Following Him for a most excellent strategy!!
;)

There is a lot of sense in tracking per woman average. By that metric I’m biologically at a quite unremarkable 4. And if weren’t for my fruitful vine @windblown I’d be at three!

There’s some rapper who has something like 21 children from 17 women. That’s an awful PWA.

There needs to be another statistic though gives context to PWA. An 18 year old man with three wives and three children is exceptional but his PWA is one. There’s no context to the number. I’ll have to think on it.

My PWA is extremely under water.

What gay men do is corruption. It says so plainly.
Sarcasm TRM, sarcasm. Abomination in my reading but we agree. Now having said that, two bodies joining together p-i-v being a "one-flesh union" the same can be said of penis in anus or anal sex. Clean or filthy dirty it is still joining of flesh. That is why I make the distinction in the ability to create new life as contrasted with just plain ol' insertion. We already know that not every encounter will result in a child but for a few days of the month is highly likely and our collective desires will probably find those days hence the one-flesh is created.

Where does it say that they cannot have a perverted “one-flesh union”?
That they have a perversion of what Yah intended is obvious to all, but your arbitrary distinction that their relationship is not one flesh I don’t see spelled out in Scripture.

In fact, now that I think about it, we aren’t even told which particular sexual act makes us one with a prostitute. I’ve been told that there are more than one option for sale…….

I’m just saying, her fertility is 100% and she only has 7 children. I’m no math wizard but I think maybe you need to up your vitamin E intake sir:
There was always a 100% chance that if we had sex when I ovulated (and I ovulated 2-3 times per month), then I would get pregnant. That's why we had 7 children in 10 years, plus the two miscarriages.
And now I can't have children any more, so my fertility rate is 0 lol.

Y’all are making this way too complicated.
Sarah was Fertile Myrtle/Prolific Patty/Steady Sarah and doesn’t have to take her hat off to anyone.

Samuel is evidently no slouch either 😉

Hopefully we can avoid getting our measuring sticks out……..

100% of 7 is 7. In 10 years. I’m just trying to help the man.

You're getting mixed up between fertility and fecundity!

Fertility is whether they get pregnant at the drop of a hat bra or whether it takes a bit more practice (100%).
Fecundity is the actual reproductive rate of an organism (7).
It's very important to distinguish between the two measures, especially in animal breeding!
Fertility is only one of the many, many factors affecting fecundity.

He has a point. Sarah might need help with those 7 kids.
I was making a recommendation for the next 7……..
