Convoy 2022 NZ

I just saw a video post where truckers in Canada are encouraged by the freedom protests in NZ. The news is spreading in spite of the commy media false reporting. And it looks like some of the Canadian government is buckling to the pressure and are announcing the dropping of mandates etc. May that pressure here produce the same results.
 
I am both humbled and encouraged by the protesters in Canada and NZ. Here in SC, USA, life goes on and nobody seems to give a flip about the government, mandates, etc. But, I know deep in my bones that if you guys don't stand up, the madness will eventually come to us. Thank you!

If/when our time comes to stand in the face of tyranny, may I have the same resolve to peacefully laugh in their face and put their absurdities on full display.

Laughter is important. Politicians know how to deal with violence, but laughter is a more powerful weapon as it strikes right to the heart of their most treasured asset - their personal egos. So on that note... Some of the humour is rather specific and may only make sense to @frederick and @MrB, and even then only if they've been closely watching the happenings in Wellington, but the rest of you will find something to chuckle at.

Give-send-go is a Christian crowd funding site that was helping the Canadian convoy and they got hacked tonight and their donor list was published on the web.

The hackers posted this manifesto on the Givesendgo main page and I am posting it here because it speaks to how sinsick these people are they they really think we want to overthrow democracy when all we want is to secure our rights.

On the day that everyone was arrested, there were a bunch of women arrested. A bunch of them refused to sign their bail forms because that would mean they agreed they had been arrested. They did not agree as their arrest was unjust and invalid. 7 of them have remained in jail because of this.
Today the protestors put together an open letter to the government, media, and the police stating their demands. One of their asks was a sign of good faith from the police by letting those women go.
This evening those women were released.
They still have a court hearing they will need to attend in a few weeks, but they are free for now.

The police have also been going through the crowds, just a couple of them at a time. They're talking to people, handing out lollies, and letting people know that not every interaction with them will be violent.

This morning the police were interviewed on the radio where they said they do not condone the use of loud music being used on the protestors.

They made some massive mistakes, pushed on by those in power. Now they're trying. They are also working in a situation where they have lost a bunch of colleagues to the mandates and there were never enough cops normally anyway, and they have not had any pay rises for a long time when they are well overdue. They are as sick of it as we are. They don't want to be there either.

This is a half hour video of the women who were released tonight. It was done on a live feed, and the audio is a bit scratchy and cuts out sometimes.

What a perversion of justice that is! Unless you essentially plead guilty you'll stay in jail? No offense to you but I can understand why the American colonists wanted to get rid of British ideas of justice that are all biased in favor of government.

Yeah I don't quite understand it, and I may be communicating it wrong. They had a 17 year old boy in there and he refused to sign the paper and give any details about himself at all. After 5 hours in custody they said that he either had to give them the info and sign the papers to get out, or he was going to be placed with Oranga Tamariki (social services) for the night. He chose to sign the paper and be let out rather than go into state care.

I think the papers they were wanting them to sign were bail conditions - along the lines of "we release you on bail, on condition you don't return to the place we arrested you at again". Under normal circumstances that would be understandable - release a thief on bail on condition that he doesn't go to any shops, if he agrees to the condition he's released until the court hearing, if he won't agree keep him in jail until the court hearing, to avoid the risk of further theft. In these circumstances they were most likely asking them to agree to bail conditions that they would not return to Parliament property.

If you are adamant that you committed no crime and actually want to return there, it's quite understandable that you wouldn't want to sign any paperwork in that case, because then you're making a contract that you will not return to Parliament grounds - if you do then you have disobeyed your own promise, and that is a real offence. They may have had no case against you to begin with (being peacefully on public land), but if you sign it now they may have grounds against you if you return, through a legal trap.

Also, it's acknowledging that you are cooperating with the whole system, and if you're taking a really hardline sovereignty approach to this matter you may not wish to acknowledge the existence of the state as an authority. Not that that will necessarily help much - whether or not you believe they have the legal right to lock you up, they have the power to do so anyway and think they have the legal right, so the end result might be completely unaffected by your personal stance. But it's a very understandable position.
 
It's been pretty quiet. Today The Duck decided to have the speakers playing parliamentary debates while the MPs spoke about their boring usual stuff and also mocked the protestors. The people just shouted 'No more mandates' at the top of their lungs for about 45 minutes and then started a dance party. The other day he played The Wiggles which the kids loved and the parents were thankful for because Wiggle concerts are expensive and this was free lol.

Tomorrow, though, is going to be far more interesting. The police keep saying they have asked the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) for help with towing vehicles. The NZDF have confirmed they received a request and will not state whether they will be responding or not.
The police have made it clear they expect help from the NZDF and that towing of vehicles will begin 'soon', which means tomorrow.
This is where it gets tricky. They can't legally tow a vehicle if someone is inside it. Police have made it very clear that if anyone tried to stop them from towing vehicles in any way they will be arrested and charged.

Not sure how that's going to turn out, definitely one for prayer.

I don't think it's that. All the protestors that were released came straight back to parliament. One boy they dropped back off just down the road from the protest to come back to his family there. These women weren't given any different bail conditions to anyone else.
 
Canada's prime minister Trudeau said that the truckers were a threat to democracy so he responded by declaring himself dictator and suspending civil rights all over Canada and not just at the border.

On a Canadian You Tube channel they had a member of parliament say that Trudeau met with Liberal party leaders and he might be proroguing (suspending) parliament indefinitely. He invoked an emergency law that is the Canadian equivalent of martial law and the police are already arresting people in their homes, banks are freezing bank accounts without court orders, and opposition members of parliament have been threatened with arrest.

Canada is now a dictatorship and I don't doubt that Australia or New Zealand will follow their lead. It's much harder to do in the USA but I won't say it's impossible.

It is a sad day for freedom and liberty in the one-time Free World.
 
There are a small number of news stories getting into the mainstream now which show what's really going on. Still, nobody is interviewing the protestors on TV. But they are interviewing people who are commenting on them, some of whom are showing what's really going on. This is national, state-owned media. Note that all the other headlines are misleading and negative, so the overall picture being presented is still seriously distorted. But there are some glimmers of truth in it.

There were so many cars towed today that we literally can't count them.

The poor police commissioner must be having a terrible time trying to find a tow truck.

At one stage a large line of police came and stood down the street where the parker cars were. The protestors all gathered there on mass and chanted "WHO'S STREETS? OUR STREETS!" The police then walked away.

And so what will happen with the vehicles still remains to be seen.
 
Good. Stand against them and hopefully Ardern and the rest of the communists can be peacefully removed from power.

“An NZDF spokeswoman said discussions on the possible deployment of Defence Force assets remain ongoing, and no decisions have been made,” New Zealand’s Stuff news site reported on February 16.

“Four Defence Force vehicles have arrived in Wellington and are on standby should they be required,” the NZDF spokeswoman confirmed.

“They are being pre-positioned should they be required, but as stated no decisions have been made about their use to assist the towing operation,” she told reporters.

“[The] four army vehicles travelled to Wellington from Linton and Waiouru on Wednesday,” according to Stuff.
